BOOM Headshot

Down to 215 as of this morning. I haven't been this lean in 2 years, and if I'm honest with myself........I wasn't really "this lean" the last time I saw this number on a scale. I look better than I've looked in a long time, but thats not saying much. There's still a fuckload more work to do, but I at least have the confidence that I CAN do it. Not only can I do it, but if I slip up (like decide to go to a BBQ or some such) its not the end of the world. I can get right back on zee wagon and smash through any kind of plateau spending a weekend being fatty-patty might otherwise stick me at. So in addition to the weight loss, and more accurately fat loss, I'm somehow stronger than ever? I'm benching, curling, and pulling up as much if not more weight than I ever have before. In theory it shouldn't be like this. Cutting calories like I am makes you weak. I guess I carry enough additional calories around in my 5 mph crash bumper that I can maintain ...

The force is strong.....

Still on the "Endo diet." Viewed some shots of myself from 8/3 compared to some shots of myself on 9/7, and the weightloss is noticable. Which is suprising cuz the scale only reads about 5 lbs less for the same time period. I'm discovering bodybuilding.com. It ends up being a great tool for motivation as well as tracking workouts. I think I'll keep using it although considering how often I post here.....its anybody's guess as to how rigorously I will do so. I will try to get the aforementioned comparo pics up tonight if I remember.

motivation

Been pretty good for about a month now. down to 218 lbs. Trying out some new things in the gym. The flavor of the week is focusing on the negative half of the rep on all of my exercises. Its rough! Motivation comes and goes. Right now I'm feeling highly motivated. Yesterday, significantly less so. This is really a life long battle. I guess in the end as long as I'm in control more than I'm out of control, the right stuff will happen. We shall see.....
I've been trying to make a new diet work for several weeks now. Its ~1800 calories a day, and very regimented. However, I'd been fucking off pretty bad on the weekends. The diet was good enough that I had gained weight though! And that was being totally out of the gym trying to get my explorer running again. So as of last week I'm back in the gym, AND sticking to this diet 7 days a week instead of 5. Last Monday I weighed myself at 231 and FREAKED THE FUCK OUT! I then went back in on Tuesday, tried several different scales, and read 225 which makes a lot more sense. As of yesterday 8/11/10 I am 223. Considering the all day beer binge that took place on the river this past weekend (oops!) losing 2 lbs shows that this diet flat out fucking WORKS. Here's hoping I can actually stick to it. In all honesty, its not that bad. Everything is pretty edible except my lunches of relatively flavorless chicken breast and raw spinach. As an added bonus my friend and I hav...

My Fit Foods

So this begins a new chapter in my never ending quest to lose weight. It is very apparent to me, now, that diet is both the largest factor in acheiving results and the one I struggle with the most. Enter my fit foods. Its a program similar to nutrisystem: someone else does the cooking, and just tells you what to eat and when. The advantage: they're local so the food is fresh as opposed to vacuum sealed. I've heard good things from people I trust.....so we shall see. Current weight fluctuates between 234 and 236. The heaviest I've ever been. I gotta do something.
Still on the diet. No results on the scale yet, although I'm convinced the scales at my gym are in general disrepair. My morning backpain is starting to subside which is generally the first sign I'm getting the weight under control.

Reboot

Restarted the diet this week. Well...mostly. My dumb ass forgot to mak a sandwich this morning as I was trying to collect all my tax info so I could mail it when I got to work. Then there's the fact that I'm exhausted so I got a chai latte for breakfast. HOWEVER, despite all that I'll still eat less than maintenance calories today, and have done so the last 2 days as well. Basically, I started dating again (who knew that'd ever happen!?), and its given me new motivation to drop the weight. Apparently cute girls are interested in me (again.....who knew!?) so I feel compelled to make myself a little bit cuter......and a little bit more pleasing to the eye naked. If I'm honest with myself, there's really only one girl in particular who is providing my motivation, but if it tanks with her I'll be even more motivated to make her realize what she missed out on......or something like that I guess. So far its not THAT hard to stick to although I'm not in t...
