Boo podcasts So I listened to my normal contigent of podcasts this week, and not a single awesome track was heard that week.  It's probably the first week in a while that that has happened.  Oh well, I guess it gives me time to familiarize myself with some of the stuff I already bought.  Also, I still have, like, 100 tracks in my any.do list to sort through. Plllusss...Mat Zo tonight!  Last week I went to see Maor Levi, Audien, and Morgan Page.  Morgan Page was the headliner, but I thought Audien was more fun.  Anyway, it's nice to have big names come through so frequently for inspiration.  The nice thing is: last week was a friday night.  I left halfway through Morgan's set cuz I was just beat from work.  This week: saturday.  I can throw in a nap, and rock face through the whole show. Also, been thinking  a lot about gear.  My tops suck.  I mean...they're fine for the price, but if I have to do a larger gig than a...
Brown Santa Paid a visit last night dropping of a GTHAudio wireless mic setup.  Two standard mics + 2 lapel and/or headset mics.  Some reviews suggested that this was the best of the cheap chinese knockoffs.  Shit, they even call their mics sm58s.  If that's not a rip of the shure sm58 mic (and industry standard) I don't know what is.  Anyway.  Plugged it all in, and it works great.  I don't plan to do a lot of work that requires a mic, but I am doing this wedding, and it'll be nice to be able to mic up the nuptials (100 guests might not be able to hear) as well as have a piece of shit mic I can pass around when people start giving drunken toasts that I don't care if it gets dropped.  I mean...this wedding is at a brewery.
So here's an idea Obviously I haven't used this blog in forever.  For anything.  When I originally made it, I was hoping it'd give me some accountability for weight loss.  it failed.  On the bright side, in the intermediate years, I managed to unass 20 lbs.  Yay.  Now I'm just mostly fat instead instead of totally fat.  BUT, that journey is still under weigh (heh).  There's nothing to really talk about though. I eat the same shit week in and week out, and do a full body workout 3 days a week.  It doesn't change enough to bother blogging about. Soooo....I'm repurposing this to talk about DJ'ing. One of the treats of my diet is Sunday morning I get starbucks.  I'm using my time there to create tracklists for the mixes I upload to my mixcloud account (www.mixcloud/com/ChubbyRacer).  So I figured in addition to that, I'll blog about the mixes.  My mixes frequently contain mistakes as I'm playing with stuff...different effect...

Still experimenting

Well, I'm still participating in this grand experiment of trying to get unfat.  Having colitis has thrown a kink into the works, and made me re-evaluate my previous usage of intermittent fasting.  I was concerned that only eating twice a day was resulting in me eating too high a volume in one sitting thusly causing my colitis.  After going back to 3 squares, it appears that was indeed my issue.  So I'm going back on IF, but splitting the 2 big meals up so that I don't eat a massive amount at any one sitting. The upside: still under 220!

Down to 215 as of this morning. I haven't been this lean in 2 years, and if I'm honest with myself........I wasn't really "this lean" the last time I saw this number on a scale. I look better than I've looked in a long time, but thats not saying much. There's still a fuckload more work to do, but I at least have the confidence that I CAN do it. Not only can I do it, but if I slip up (like decide to go to a BBQ or some such) its not the end of the world. I can get right back on zee wagon and smash through any kind of plateau spending a weekend being fatty-patty might otherwise stick me at. So in addition to the weight loss, and more accurately fat loss, I'm somehow stronger than ever? I'm benching, curling, and pulling up as much if not more weight than I ever have before. In theory it shouldn't be like this. Cutting calories like I am makes you weak. I guess I carry enough additional calories around in my 5 mph crash bumper that I can maintain ...

Still on the "Endo diet." Viewed some shots of myself from 8/3 compared to some shots of myself on 9/7, and the weightloss is noticable. Which is suprising cuz the scale only reads about 5 lbs less for the same time period. I'm discovering bodybuilding.com. It ends up being a great tool for motivation as well as tracking workouts. I think I'll keep using it although considering how often I post here.....its anybody's guess as to how rigorously I will do so. I will try to get the aforementioned comparo pics up tonight if I remember.

motivation

Been pretty good for about a month now. down to 218 lbs. Trying out some new things in the gym. The flavor of the week is focusing on the negative half of the rep on all of my exercises. Its rough! Motivation comes and goes. Right now I'm feeling highly motivated. Yesterday, significantly less so. This is really a life long battle. I guess in the end as long as I'm in control more than I'm out of control, the right stuff will happen. We shall see.....
