Youtube channel was launched, but meh
I've posted several videos now as I've been able, and sadly still the one with the most views is a very short clip I did before truly "launching" the channel. It's obvious to me now that computer related videos do WAY better than any other content, and especially short ones that demonstrate how to do a specific thing. I'll keep doing all the videos I think of as, if anything, the practice for filming and editing which should make the videos that actually do well of a better quality.
As to other things going on in life: I've finally SBR'ed my 4th and final registered lower. I went with a 12.5" 5.56 wylde barrel from criterion. Criterion claims their chrome lining process is more consistent than everyone elses so they are more accurate, but since I currently (and probably always) will have a red dot on it...I'm not sure I'll ever know for sure. The real reason I went with criterion is that they seemed to be one of the only manufacturers willing to sell me a SBR length barrel with a .223 Wylde chamber. Weird. I'll be using this quite a bit for 3 gun, but I'll eventually build out the Wilson Combat receiver set I have in the safe to be a 14.5" or 16" dedicated 3 gun machine.
I tried a new brand of handguard on this 12.5": SLR rifleworks. It's similar to the Atlas S handguard I put on the wife's ar9, but different in 2 import ways for this build:
* They offered a 11.7" rail which allow enough clearance behind my muzzle device to mount a supressor whereas the atlas s advertised as 12" is actually 12.5" which would OVERHANG my muzzle device
* For an extra $40, they'll send it to you cerakoted. Lots of parts on this gun were already OD green, so I wanted the new handguard to be as well.
I also picked up a Beretta 1301 competition shotgun. Sadly, this is the only shotgun I've ever fired at a 3 gun event, it was way softer than I was expecting, so I just bought it. Waiting on a briley +8 tube that's taking FOREVER to manufacture, and I'll probably have the, open the loading port later this year even though I don't need it to load 2 as it's well opened for that.
guess that's it for now.
